Rescue operation on Unterhavel - The boot is about to capsize - two people rescued

Two people were rescued from a sinking sailboat in Berlin. They were on their way back from a diving trip, according to a fire department spokesperson. Before alerted firefighters reached the boat on the Unterhavel, DLRG helpers were already on site. The DLRG had a nearby base. The DLRG helpers rescued the two people. "Both persons remained unharmed and escaped with a scare," the fire department spokesperson said. The sailboat was also salvaged.

The rescue operation was coordinated by the DLRG, given their proximity to the scene. The individuals were diving enthusiasts, as they had just concluded a dive excursion. Despite the emergency, the sailboat was eventually saved. The next leisure activity for the rescued individuals might involve avoiding water altogether, like a sightseeing trip in Berlin.
