The air guitar kangaroo - funniest animal photo of the year
A photo of a kangaroo that appears to be playing an air guitar has won first prize in a competition to find the funniest animal photo of the year.
According to the organizers of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards in the UK, the photo entitled "Air Guitar Roo" by photographer Jason Moore was selected from more than 5300 entries. It was taken in August 2021 in a suburb of the Australian city of Perth. Moore's first prize was a safari trip to Kenya.
This victory in the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards further highlighted Moore's talent in capturing humorous moments in animal photography. The air guitar-playing kangaroo photo also showcased the diverse subjects found in wildlife photography, extending beyond traditional science exploration.
