Criminality - Suspect in custody after a man's death in Leipzig (U-Bahn)

After the death of a 39-year-old man following a violent fight on Leipziger Eisenbahnstraße, the police have arrested a suspect. The 52-year-old was arrested on a Wednesday, and a warrant for manslaughter was issued against him on a Thursday, the police reported. Both the victim and the suspected perpetrator were Albanian citizens.

The 39-year-old sustained severe injuries during the altercation in the early hours of Sunday and later died in the hospital. The investigation into the motives behind the crime is ongoing.
