A city worker and an E-Scooter rider got into a fierce altercation in Freiburg. After a brawl, one of them had to go to the hospital.

Freiburg - Street cleaning workers and E-Scooter riders brawl

After a scuffle with an E-Scooter rider, an employee of the city cleaning in Freiburg (ASF) sustained light injuries and was taken to the hospital. According to a police spokesperson, the ASF employee was just lifting a glass container with a crane when the E-Scooter rider drove under it. There was an argument first, then a scuffle.

The E-Scooter rider is said to have knocked down and stepped on the ASF employee. Both the 38-year-old E-Scooter rider and the 40-year-old ASF employee were lightly injured according to initial findings. The latter was taken to the hospital. The E-Scooter rider had left the scene after the incident on a Wednesday. He could be located and interrogated later at his residence.

The incident in Freiburg highlighting E-Scooter related criminality was reported to the authorities in Baden-Württemberg. Despite the brawl, the E-Scooter rider managed to flee the scene after the ASF employee was injured. Subsequent investigations led to the identification and apprehension of the individual for questioning.
