Unknown perpetrators threw stones onto the A111 highway in the northern part of Berlin. Vehicles were hit. The autobahn was blocked twice.

Police operation - Stone throws on A111 in Tegel - Cars and trucks hit

Unknown individuals have thrown stones onto the carriageway of the A111 motorway in Berlin-Tegel, causing damage to vehicles. There were no injured reported initially, according to a spokesperson of the Berlin Police Control Centre in the evening. Suspects were not apprehended yet, it was stated.

The motorway was closed twice between the interchanges Schulzendorfer Straße and Holzhauser Straße, as the Traffic Information Centre (VIZ) reported to X. The police were present at both scenes, according to the information. A lorry and a car were damaged, it was stated.

At around 19.10 pm, there was a second intervention, the spokesperson added. An object had fallen onto the windshield of a car at the town centre tunnel. The windshield was shattered and the driver had pulled over to the hard shoulder. Police secured stones from old railway tracks, according to the police spokesperson.
