computer problems - Software problems disturb operations at airports in Bavaria
International managed computer systems are causing issues at airports in Bavaria as well. It's about software problems in the check-in programs of the airlines, said a spokesperson of Nuremberg Airport. Until early morning, there had been barely any delays in Nuremberg. However, these problems could lead to the flight schedule getting disrupted throughout the day, and passengers might have to expect longer check-in times.
Similarly, passengers at the airport in Memmingen had to be patient due to IT issues. The passenger check-in system was disrupted, said an airport spokeswoman. Therefore, check-in had to be done manually. "It works, but unfortunately it takes longer", said the spokeswoman. Passengers were advised to be at the airport at least two hours before their flight due to the delays. With the problems, delays in air traffic should be expected.
The spokesperson at Memmingen Airport attributed the IT issues to a potential computer problem within the airport's system. Despite the software problem affecting the airline's check-in program in Bavaria, local authorities expressed hope that the situation in Nuremberg Airport would improve soon. Meanwhile, flight disruptions due to air traffic delays might impact several airports across Bavaria, including Nuremberg and Memmingen.
