Investigators secured approximately seven tonnes of Cocaine-soaked heating pellets from a property in Florstadt, Hesse (Wetterau district). Two suspects have been arrested, according to the Bavarian Criminal Police and the Prosecutor's Office in Gießen.

Current knowledge suggests that the cocaine is in the multi-kilogram range. The exact amount that can be obtained from the pellets needs to be determined through further investigations.

The searches in two larger properties reportedly took place at the beginning of July. Drug-sniffing dogs detected the pellets, which were made from coffee grounds.

A 29-year-old suspect is believed to have organized the transports, and a 35-year-old is suspected to have been responsible for storage. Both are accused of illegal drug trafficking in significant quantities.

  1. It was revealed that the property in Florstadt, Hesse, located in the Wetterau District, was linked to a large-scale drug operation originating from Colombia.
  2. The Bavarian Criminal Police and the Prosecutor's Office in Gießen are working together to investigate the alleged drug trafficking in Bayern (German for Bavaria), involving significant amounts of cocaine.
  3. Reports indicate that the 29-year-old suspect, believed to have organized the transports, had connections with criminal networks based in Colombia, contributing to the increase in criminality in the region.
  4. The Drug Fund, a government organization, is working closely with the investigators to ensure that all confiscated items, including the seven tonnes of Cocaine-laced pellets, are safely stored and adequately processed for further analysis.
  5. After the arrests, officials discovered evidence suggesting that the suspects had been using LAK, a secretive code used by organized crime networks for communication, hinting at their involvement in a wider organized drug crime syndicate.
