Emergency - Seven injured by riot gas in Herne
In a drugstore in Herne, seven people were injured by tear gas. One person was taken to the hospital, the police reported. The alarm reportedly went out in the evening. Several patrol cars were on site. The police initially made no further comments on the incident in the district of Sodingen.
The drugstore implemented an emergency protocol after the tear gas incident. The investigation into the source of the graphite canisters, suspected to have contained the tear gas, will be conducted in North Rhine-Westphalia.
