Second Bundesliga - Second league record scorer Terodde becomes Sky expert
After the end of his football career, Simon Terodde will become an expert at Sky. According to the Pay-TV broadcaster, the 36-year-old will make his debut at the opening game of the 2. Bundesliga on August 2 (Friday, 8:30 pm/Sky and Sat.1). Terodde was first reported to be joining Sky by "Sport Bild".
"From promotion to the impending relegation to the third league, I have experienced it all in the 2. Bundesliga and will try to bring the viewers closer to the special situations where it's all on the line", said the former striker according to Sky's press release. In addition to him, Torsten Mattuschka and Sören Gonther will continue to work for Sky as co-commentators and experts.
Terodde ended his career at Schalke 04 last season. In 311 2. Bundesliga games for MSV Duisburg, Union Berlin, VfL Bochum, VfB Stuttgart, 1. FC Köln, HSV and Schalke 04, he scored 177 goals. He was the 2. Liga top scorer four times, and won the 2. Liga championship three times with Stuttgart, Köln and Schalke. In the Bundesliga, he played in 90 games and scored 15 goals.
