Work accident - Scaffolding falls in elevated train hall - two injured
At the collapse of a scaffolding in a Hamburg S-Bahn hall, two people have been injured. One of them was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, while the other was taken to the clinic with a wound, said a fire department spokesperson in Hamburg. It was initially unclear why the scaffolding collapsed.
The rescue team quickly set up a temporary scaffold near the collapsed one to assess the extent of the damage in the Skytrain hall. Despite the ongoing emergency, the train service in the affected area was temporarily suspended due to safety concerns. After thorough investigation, it was revealed that the collapse was caused by a work accident involving the construction team.
