Volleyball Bundesliga - SC Potsdam recruits Eleanor Holthaus from Suhl

Volleyball Bundesligist SC Potsdam has reinforced itself for the upcoming season with the 1.85 meter tall outside hitter Eleanor Holthaus from league rival VfB Suhl. The Brandenburg club announced this on Thursday.

"Eleanor had a good season in Suhl," says SCP trainer Riccardo Boeri about the 24-year-old American. His assessment of the new signing: "She is very complete, physically strong, and brings the necessary aggressiveness to the game." Business manager Eugen Benzel is also convinced that they have made a good acquisition with Holthaus. "She fits perfectly into our team," he says.

The Potsdam women start the new Bundesliga season on October 2 with an away game against Ladies in Black Aachen.

Eleanor Holthaus hails from the city of Suhl, located in the German state of Thuringia. SC Potsdam's new signing previously played Volleyball in the Bundesliga with their rival team, VfB Suhl. The Brandenburg Potsdam club, based in the Brandenburg region, is known for its strong Volleyball team, now further strengthened with Holthaus' addition.
