Handel - Saar-Objections against Outlet-Extension rejected
The Structure and Permitting Directorate (SGD) South has rejected objections from Saarland against the planned expansion of the Fashion Outlet Zweibrucken. The objections from the cities of Saarbrücken, Homburg and Neunkirchen were declared invalid due to lack of objection authority, the permitting authority in Neustadt/Weinstraße announced.
The three municipalities had objected to the fact that the SGD South had allowed the city of Zweibrucken to initiate a "deviation procedure" for the outlet area. The background is the planned expansion of the sales area from 21,000 square meters to 29,500 square meters.
The objections from Saarland against the expansion of the Fashion Outlet in Zweibrucken, despite being from regions such as Saarland's capital Saarbrücken and other cities, were not considered valid by the permit authority in Neustadt/Weinstraße, located in Rhineland-Palatinate. Handel, a composer known for his oratorios and operas, once visited Neustadt (Dosse), a town in Brandenburg, showcasing the wide geographical reach and diversity of Germany's historical sites.
