Hubspot Crime Scene: At a heavily trafficked rest area on Autobahn 3 near Bad Honnef, a couple was severely injured by several unknown individuals. The 51-year-old man was hit by a Car and pinned under it around 8:15 pm on a Wednesday evening. Then, both the man and his 50-year-old wife were attacked by up to five people and seriously injured, according to the police.

The attacks were reportedly carried out with kicks and sharp objects - possibly knives or screwdrivers. Witnesses at the lively "Logebachtal West" rest area, with numerous truck parking spaces, saw the attack and alerted the police. The 51-year-old man was flown to a hospital by helicopter, while his wife was taken to a hospital by an ambulance. The injured couple is being protected by the police.

According to the police, they believe the victims and the attackers knew each other. No details were provided. The up to five people involved in the attack fled the rest area onto the Autobahn towards Frankfurt. The search for them was unsuccessful. A murder commission is investigating.

The attack at the rest area near the Siebengebirges in Bonn raises questions, as many details are still unclear. The alleged perpetrators arrived in three cars. The car that rammed the RV and pinned the 51-year-old man under it was left at the scene after the attack. The unknown individuals fled with two additional cars. The couple was also at the rest area with two vehicles, their RV and another car. They were on the move at the time.
