Runaway dog turns up alone at the police station
A lost dog has turned up alone at the police station in Peine near Hanover. Fritzi, a mixed-breed dog, had been missing for a night but remained unharmed, according to the police. She got away from her owner on Friday evening when she had an accident.
The 66-year-old owner reportedly collided with a cyclist and fell. The animal was probably frightened and ran away. The next morning, the dog sneaked around a police station, according to the statement. When the door opened, she scurried into the entrance area, where officers then took care of her.
The police station became an unexpected shelter for the colorful-coated Fritzi, the mixed-breed dog. Despite the interesting series of events, the local police forces now have a new curiosity in their charge – the runaway dog.
