Luck in misfortune - Riding three-abreast on an E-Scooter - Girl hits motor hood (lit.: motor helmet)
A 14-year-old girl fell off an E-Scooter in Sprendlingen, in the Mainz-Bingen district, and hit the motor hood of a car with her head. "Fortunately, the scooter rider was wearing a bicycle helmet, so she only suffered light injuries," the police reported in the evening.
The girl had initially ridden on the sidewalk. According to reports, she was accompanied by two other girls. While getting onto the flowing traffic, the three lost control and fell in front of a car. The 64-year-old driver of the car had applied the brakes fully, but could not prevent the accident.
The incident occurred in the Mainz-Bingen district, specifically in Sprendlingen, which is part of Rhineland-Palatinate. The girl, who was lucky to be wearing a bicycle helmet, hails from Bingen. Despite the driver of the car applying the brakes fully, the accident involving the E-Scooter and the vehicle still occurred due to the girls losing control.
