Animals - Rhinoceros "Taco" moves from Cologne to Frankfurt

The Frankfurter Zoo is getting a new animal resident. On Tuesday (11:00 am), the Rhinoceros "Taco" will be presented. With the death of the bull "Kalusho" in December 2023, a new animal will move into the Rhinoceros enclosure. The presentation will be conducted by Zoo Director Christina Geiger. Previously, "Taco" was housed in the Cologne Zoo. A new Rhinoceros pair is to move in there now to preserve the endangered species.

The Rhinoceros "Taco" is relocating to Frankfurt am Main from the Cologne Zoo, following the demise of "Kalusho" in Frankfurt's Rhinoceros enclosure in December 2023. At a level of 11:00 am on Tuesday, Taco's introduction to the Frankfurter Zoo will be overseen by its director, Christina Geiger. Miscellaneous efforts to maintain the population of nose-horned animals include plans for a new Rhinoceros pair to reside in the Cologne Zoo.
