Citizen's Case - Reuß-Process: Reports on Politician List and Weapons Finds

In the Frankfurt Terror Trial regarding the alleged "Reichsbürger" group around Heinrich XIII. Prince Reuß, the Higher Regional Court continued the hearing with the reading of further search warrant reports.

On the sixteenth court day, a search conducted in April 2022 at the residence of the accused ex-soldier Peter W. was initially discussed and read out. Officials found, according to the address, a list with German politicians, including Annalena Baerbock (Greens) and Kevin Kühnt (SPD). In addition, an improperly stored pistol, as well as other firearms and some ammunition magazines, were secured.

On the table, the police found, according to the court, a ready-to-grab murder weapon. At the address, several mobile phones, a laptop, tablets, and cameras, as well as the replicas of a hand grenade, were also found. According to the information, military equipment was also found, including a Kevlar helmet, a multifunctional belt, and a one-handed knife.

Some search warrant reports have already been read

In the previous week, a search warrant report from another address of Peter W. in Bavaria had already been read out in court. Search results related to the accused Maximilian Eder and Heinrich XIII. Prince Reuß were also introduced into the proceedings.

According to Peter W.'s defense, he had operated an online shop for equipment and given survival courses. The Federal Prosecutor accuses him of recruiting active soldiers into the group. He is also accused of scouting the German Bundestag with other defendants. Furthermore, Peter W. is said to have organized shooting training for several members of the association. From this circle, the assault teams for the planned attack on the German Bundestag were allegedly selected. "Finally, Peter W. procured significant quantities of equipment and uniform parts," it was stated.

A former police officer among the accused

In the motorhome of the former Lower Saxony police officer Thomas F., the police also found written documents and a satellite phone, handcuffs, ballistic protective equipment, and knives.

In the so-called council of the Reuß group, F. was responsible for the "Interior" department, according to the Federal Prosecutor. He is also accused of actively recruiting active or former police officers and Bundeswehr personnel for various "Home Protection Companies" in Baden-Württemberg and Lower Saxony.

In the afternoon, the search at the residence of the accused Hans-Joachim H. was also to be discussed. The defendants still enjoy the presumption of innocence until the verdict. The trial then goes into a summer break and will be continued on August 13. A total of 26 alleged conspirators must answer for themselves in three proceedings in Munich and Stuttgart.

  1. Annalena Baerbock, the Green Party leader, and Kevin Kühnert, the SPD's chairman, were both named in a list found during a search of the accused ex-soldier Peter W.'s residence.
  2. The Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt am Main is conducting a trial for a "Reichsbürger" group, with the accused individuals facing allegations of terrorism and extremism.
