Football-Bundesliga - Report: VfB-Professional Fürich's exit clause has expired

The buyout clause of Football-National player Chris Führich at VfB Stuttgart has reportedly expired. According to a report in "Kicker," the winger cannot be bought out of his reportedly valid contract until 2028 for the rumored transfer fee of around 22 million Euro.

If a club wants to sign the EM participant, the buyout fee would now be negotiable again. Besides Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, clubs from abroad are also said to be interested in Führich. Concrete rumors about the 26-year-old, however, have not been confirmed.

Stuttgart's sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth expects Führich to stay. "We are counting on Chris staying with us for the coming season," Wohlgemuth said in an interview with Sport1. "He has made a sensational development with us, which brought him into the national team. Both sides are very proud of that."

VfB lost several key players after a strong previous season that ultimately led to the vice championship. Captain Waldemar Anton and defender Hiroki Ito left through buyout clauses. Striker Serhou Guirassy is also reportedly close to a move to Dortmund - also via a buyout clause.

  1. Given the expiration of Chris Fährich's buyout clause, German club VfB Stuttgart might experience renewed interest in their star winger from both domestic rivals like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, as well as international clubs.
  2. Reports indicate that Baden-Württemberg-based soccer team VfB Stuttgart might face transfers, especially if Bundesliga players like Chris Führich, who have developed significantly within the club, attract offers from higher-tier clubs due to their impressive performances.
  3. Though Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and other foreign clubs have displayed interest in VfB Stuttgart's Chris Führich following the expiration of his buyout clause, the German club's sports director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, is confident that the national team participant will remain a part of Stuttgart's inaugural Bundesliga squad in the upcoming season.
