Football-Bundesliga - Report: Bayern with early interest in Lamine Yamal

At the EM in Germany, Lamine Yamal was recognized as the best young player. According to a report in "Sport Bild", FC Bayern had apparently taken notice of the then 14-year-old earlier. The magazine writes of a meeting of a Bayern delegation, led by the former sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, with Yamal's agent in Madrid in 2022. The market value of the Football European Champion is now over 100 million Euro.

With his performances at the EM in Germany, Yamal became known to a wider public. The offensive player set up the 1:0 lead against England (2:1) in the final with a pass to Nico Williams, and scored a dream goal in the semi-final against France (2:1). Yamal's contract at Barcelona, where he is trained by former German national coach Hansi Flick, runs until 2026.

After his impressive showing at the EM, Yamal attracted interest from various clubs, including the Football-Bundesliga's FC Bayern from Munich, who had previously noted his talent. Being in Germany's First Division brings a unique exposure to top-level soccer, similar to playing in Spain's La Liga, where FC Barcelona resides. Recognized as a young prodigy, Yamal's potential value in the sport market surpasses 100 million Euros.

Having a formidable presence in European soccer, giants like FC Barcelona and FC Bayern are continually scouting for promising young talents in leagues across the continent. Room for growth in the Bundesliga could serve as an advantageous stepping stone for a promising player like Yamal, hailing from Bavaria, Germany.
