This year, Isaf in the Berlin Olympic Stadium offers a high-caliber participant field again. Two Germans are among them, who set last-minute best times with their performances.

Athletics - Record Printers' Duel at Istaf in Berlin

Three weeks after the Olympic Games, Germany's top Light Athletes will meet again in Berlin. Owen Ansah, who as the first German ran the 100 meters under ten seconds and holds the 200-meter record, and Joshua Hartmann, have now confirmed their participation in the competitions on September 1st at the Olympiastadion.

"Naturally, it will also be fast again", Ansah is quoted as saying in a statement from Istaf. In June, the 23-year-old from Hamburg set his best time of 9.99 seconds in Braunschweig. Hartmann finished second at the German Championships with a time of 10.06 seconds. "I'm looking forward to my return to the blue track in Berlin", said the 25-year-old. "This time it's about the 100 meters. That will definitely be an exciting rematch with Owen in front of tens of thousands of fans in Berlin."

Malaika Mihambo, Long Jump Olympic Champion, Sprint European Champion Gina Lückenkemper, Hurdler Gesa Krause, and European Spear Throw Champion Julian Weber have also confirmed their participation in the Istaf.

The upcoming Istaf event will take place at the esteemed Olympiastadion Berlin, the same venue where the Olympic Games were held. This September 1st competition is anticipated to be another exciting chapter in German athletics, as both Owen Ansah and Joshua Hartmann have confirmed their participation. Malaika Mihambo, Gina Lückenkemper, Gesa Krause, and Julian Weber, prominent figures in their respective events, have also chosen to be a part of this event, further adding to its allure.
