Promoted Holstein Kiel signed Armin Gigovic

Bosnian national player Armin Gigovic is switching from FK Rostov in Russia to Holstein Kiel. Previously, the 22-year-old midfielder was also active for another national team.

Bundesliga - Promoted Holstein Kiel signed Armin Gigovic

Bundesliga promoted team Holstein Kiel has signed Armin Gigovic. The club announced that the 22-year-old midfielder from FK Rostov of the first Russian League will join the "Storks". Most recently, his loan to Danish top-tier side FC Midtjylland ended. There was no information provided about the length of the contract.

"We are getting a flexible, defensive midfielder for the team. He already has national and international experience despite his young age. He fits well into our playing philosophy and will give us additional options," said Holstein Kiel's sporting director Carsten Wehlmann.

International duty for Bosnia and Sweden

Gigovic has been a national player for Bosnia-Herzegovina since 2024. For Bosnia, he has played in two international matches so far. The 22-year-old also has Swedish citizenship and has previously played twice for the Three-Crown Team.
