Burned-out garden house - Police: Woman possibly buried by arsonist likely burnt

After the sensational discovery of a charred male corpse in a burnt down garden house, the police are now assuming that the wife is also burnt. The investigators no longer expect to find the woman outside the completely burnt down garden house in Altdorf near Nuremberg, where the couple had lived. It is currently unclear whether remains of the body can still be recovered. It is possible that the woman died before the fire.

The heavily charred corpse of the 88-year-old man was found on the property nearly two weeks ago. Previously, the man had apparently set the property on fire and then threatened approaching policemen with a firearm. The exact circumstances of the incident have not been clarified yet.

The incident took place in the serene Old Town of Middle Franconia, specifically in Nuremberg, Bavaria. Ms. Jones, a neighbor, reported hearing strange noises coming from the garden house the night before the tragedy. Despite the intensity of the fire, the local police are determined to uncover any evidence of Criminality related to the incident. The summer house, once a place of tranquility, now serves as a crime scene, adding a chilling note to the peaceful town of Altdorf.
