Before the start of the new school year in the city of Bremen, banners will be hung. They bear inscriptions such as "Caution! School Start! Yield!" and "Attention School Start!". They are aimed at traffic participants. The police want to encourage them to drive slowly and considerately near schools. The goal is to increase the safety of school children in road traffic.

In total, 70 school route banners will be hung, as the Police Bremen announced. The authority also plans preventive traffic controls in the coming weeks, including speed measurements. As part of their initiatives for the upcoming school year, the police have also scheduled preventive traffic controls and speed measurements near schools.
