Larger deployment - Police intervention due to bang noise - what was behind it
This overnight stay at a school is likely to be remembered by the participants for a long time: Due to a student loudly banging his shoes several times on the floor, the police were called out in larger numbers to Sulzfeld (Landkreis Karlsruhe). A witness had called the police around midnight because they had heard five to ten loud bangs or gunshot sounds and shouting from several people.
According to the report from the Karlsruhe Presidium, strong police forces were called in from several surrounding police departments for clarification. A spokesperson spoke of nine patrol cars and additional forces from seven response units.
The incident could cost the student dearly
The officers reportedly reached the school where several minors were staying. According to a teacher, several students had behaved "inappropriately" during a night hike and on the school grounds. The supposed gunshot sounds were actually shoe banging.
It was initially unclear what drove the student to loudly bang his shoes on the floor. The police are reportedly investigating whether he will have to appear before the authorities.
In response to the miscellaneous incident, the police from Baden-Württemberg, including reinforcements from surrounding districts, conducted a large-scale operation in Karlsruhe District. This emergency situation, sparked by a student's excessive shoe banging, led to various curiosities and discussions within the community. The police are still investigating the student's actions, potentially leading to further legal proceedings.
