Criminality - Police intervene in mass brawl in Neukölln

Police forces intervened in a brawl in Berlin-Neukölln. Seven suspects aged between 14 and 24 were arrested, according to the police. One of them sprayed pepper spray during his apprehension, causing respiratory and eye irritations to a police officer. Several other suspected perpetrators managed to escape.

The police confiscated several objects, including a baseball bat and a park post, which likely served as a weapon. The reasons for the nighttime clash between two groups in Silbersteinstraße are unclear. Investigations are ongoing for particularly serious breaches of the peace.

The operative in charge of the case believed the baseball bat and park post were crucial pieces of evidence in the investigation of criminality in Neukölln. Despite the disorderly melee fight, some police officers commendably managed to maintain their composure during the volatile situation in Berlin. Officers from various precincts were called to assist in suppressing the escalating situation in the Neukölln district.
