Police find drugs during checks around music festival

Antaris-Festival in Stölln - Police find drugs during checks around music festival

At traffic controls around the annual Antaris-Festival in Stölln (Landkreis Havelland), 75 drivers were detected who were under the influence of drugs while driving. At 26 of these individuals, police and customs found drugs.

Mostly small amounts of Amphetamines, Marijuana, Cannabis, Fentanyl, LSD, Cocaine, and Ketamine were involved, according to the main customs office in Potsdam. Two of the controlled drivers did not have a driver's license.

Police draw positive balance

The Festival reportedly took place last weekend and is one of the largest gatherings of fans of the Trance music "Goa" in Germany. The authorities controlled the traffic around the festival grounds on the arrival and departure days. Drug-sniffing dogs and drug rapid tests were used during the controls.

Despite the drug finds, the police drew a positive balance: "We can again say that the festival was peacefully and incident-free from a police perspective", quoted an operations leader.

  4. The Havelland District police reported that 75 drivers under the influence of drugs were detected at traffic controls surrounding the festival, with 26 individuals found in possession of drugs.
  5. Various substances like Amphetamines, Marijuana, Cannabis, Fentanyl, LSD, Cocaine, and Ketamine were detected during the drug checks, highlighting the prevalence of substance abuse at music festivals.
  6. Contrary to the drug finds, the police praised the festival for maintaining peace and order in the Havelland District, making it another incident-free event.
