Criminality - Police: Burglar arrested - one is eleven years old

The Police have temporarily arrested two suspected burglars, aged eleven and sixteen, in Norderstedt. The two are believed to be responsible for five previously known burglaries, according to the Police. The sixteen-year-old was brought before the Magistrate's Court in Hamburg, while the eleven-year-old is still a juvenile offender. A warrant for the sixteen-year-old's arrest has been issued. Both are already known to the Police for similar offenses.

The two teenagers from Hamburg are suspected to have broken into some houses on Tuesday between 6.00 and 10.00 am. In one instance, jewelry was stolen, while in another, mobile phones and a music box were taken. Witnesses alerted the Police, who arrested the suspects. It is notable that the two did not even need tools to enter the houses: They allegedly gained entry through open or tipped-over windows.

The criminal activities of the two suspects have raised concerns in the community of Norderstedt, which is located in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The police in Hamburg are closely monitoring any potential repeat offenses by these individuals, given their previous history of burglaries. The children, despite their young ages, are now facing serious charges and may have a lasting impact on their future due to their involvement in criminality.
