Please help children at war!
It is the second winter of the war. Once again, children will have to suffer from the cold and lack of food. Let us support them not only with warm words, but with deeds. Wolfram Kons says: "Solidarity for families and children and all those suffering from the war must not diminish."
We wish for snow and cold at Christmas because we find it romantic to sit in our warm homes and hand out presents. But things are different in other countries, for example in Ukraine: in many places, there is no electricity, no water and temperatures in the double digits below zero - because the Ukrainian infrastructure, electricity and water plants, are still the main target of Russian bombing. Many children and families in Ukraine will therefore experience Christmas and the winter months without electricity in freezing cold shelters, apartments and basements. We must help those affected!
"Cold, hunger, fear - the people of Ukraine are in the midst of a second, freezing winter of war. Solidarity and support for families and children and all those suffering from the terrible war must not diminish," reminds Wolfram Kons, CEO of the "Stiftung RTL - Wir helfen Kindern e. V." "While we are looking forward to a peaceful Christmas, many Ukrainians have to experience icy days and nights in bunkers and shelters together with their children," emphasizes Kons. "We do not want to and must not leave these people alone. With our winter aid, we want to bring warmth and light, medical care and, above all, confidence to those affected. Please help us and support our winter aid donation campaign."
The "Stiftung RTL - Wir helfen Kindern" e. V. winter aid campaign has already started. With its donation, the foundation is working with its partners to supply electricity generators, warm winter clothing, blankets and children's food. It also helps to set up warming centers.
