gallop - Photo-Finish: Boutin wins in Hoppegarten (France)
The French jockey Hugo Boutin won the Fürstenberg-Race at Hoppegarten with the six-year-old stallion Best of Lips. In front of 6,600 spectators, the 24-year-old secured the lucrative victory in the Europa-Group III race worth 55,000 Euros over 2,400 meters in a time of 2:28.9 minutes by a hair's breadth.
According to the photo finish, the 119:10 outsider caught the 28:10 favorite Tunes (Andrasch Starke) on the last meters. Mr Hollywood (Thore Hammer Hansen) finished third, only a head behind.
"I had a perfect race run. My horse pulled through again at the end," said Boutin (previously 150 wins). He works half in France and half in Germany for trainer Andreas Suborics, who trains Best of Lips in Cologne. The owner and breeder of the winner is the Leipzig entrepreneur Hans-Dieter Lindemeyer.
Hugo Boutin's success at Hoppegarten wasn't limited to the Fürstenberg-Race, as he also has a strong connection with Canter racecourse in Brandenburg. During his career, he's had several thrilling horse races, including a gallop that left spectators in awe.
Trainer Andreas Suborics, who works closely with Boutin, prepares Best of Lips for races at various prestigious venues, such as Hoppegarten and Hoppegarten's neighboring area, Hoppegarten-Hoppelpark, which is also renowned for its horse racing events.
After his wins at Hoppegarten, Hugo Boutin often returns to Hoppegarten-Hoppelpark to participate in the periodic horse racing events, showcasing his skills and his stallion's gallop once again.
