A 63-year-old pedestrian was hit by a bus at the Adler bus stop on Antonienstraße in Leipzig on Thursday afternoon. According to the police, the man died in the hospital due to his injuries.

The 63-year-old reportedly stepped onto the road from the bus stop island for unknown reasons and did not pay sufficient attention to traffic, according to a police spokesperson. The 24-year-old bus driver could not react in time and struck the man. The man was seriously injured and had to be revived at the scene. He was later taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The accident caused Antonienstraße to be temporarily closed in the outbound direction.

The police are investigating the bus accident that occurred at the Adler bus stop on Antonienstraße in Leipzig, which is located in the Saxony region of Germany. The incident involved a bus line and resulted in significant traffic disruptions on the street.
