Online platform provides overview of repair options

A broken toaster, a flat tire, a hole in the jeans - we often throw things away that could still be saved. A new platform aims to make places for repairs easily discoverable.

Under the slogan "repair instead of throw away," a platform has been launched in Berlin where repair possibilities for computers, bicycles, toys, and many other objects are displayed. The "Repami" named platform was initiated by the Berlin Senate, the non-profit foundation "anstiftung," the Berlin City Cleaning, and the Berlin Chamber of Crafts.

Listed there are both commercial craft businesses and voluntary initiatives like repair cafes. Consumers can repair their things under guidance for free or against a donation.

Users can select a product category on the platform and then find the nearest repair shop indicated on a Berlin map. Repami aims to help reduce waste and extend the lifespan of products.

The repair platform in Berlin, known as Repami, also offers services for fixing broken toys. By utilizing this platform, Berlin residents can reduce their environmental impact and save money by repairing their computer equipment instead of buying new ones. The convenience of the Internet platform allows users to easily find local repair shops for bicycles, including tire replacement, within their city.
