Football Bundesliga - Officially: Stümmer Terrier changes to Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen has a new striker. The Frenchman Martin Terrier is switching from Ligue-1-Club Stade Rennes to the German football champion. The 27-year-old signed a contract with the Rhinelanders until 2029. "Martin is finish-strong, flexible – a good footballer who fits excellently to our team with his profile. We are very happy that he has decided for us", shared Bayer-Sportchef Simon Rolfes on X. The Bundesligist made no statements about the transfer fee. According to media reports, Bayer paid 20 Million Euros for the new signing.
Terrier, who previously played for Lille, Strasbourg, Lyon and Rennes, scored 60 goals in just over 200 league games. He can be used both on the left offensive side, as a hanging forward or also in the central attack. Terrier is the second professional, after Defensive All-rounder Jeanuel Belocian, who has switched to the works club from Rennes this summer. Another new signing is Mittelfeldspieler Aleix Garcia from the Spanish Club FC Girona.
