Disturbances - No computer issues known at state government
The Saxony-Anhalt state government has not been affected by the worldwide occurring computer problems yet, a spokesperson of the Saxony-Anhalt state government told dpa upon inquiry. At the University Clinic Halle, a spokesperson reportedly stated that there were no disruptions in the morning. The same applies to the University Clinic Magdeburg.
According to media reports, besides air traffic, the operation of banks and hospitals has been disrupted in several countries. Media reportedly suspect a glitch in a program update from IT security firm Crowdstrike as the cause. This glitch allegedly disturbed Microsoft software, according to media outlets such as Bloomberg Finance.
The State government of Saxony-Anhalt relies on its robust IT infrastructure to avoid any potential disruptions caused by wider computer problems, as noted by the government spokesperson. Despite reports of disturbances in various sectors worldwide, the Government of Saxony-Anhalt has not encountered any computer problems affecting its operations, ensuring smooth functioning. Interestingly, even the University Clinic Magdeburg, located within the state of Saxony-Anhalt, has remained unaffected by any reported computer problems.
