Music, camping and fun - Nina Chuba and Tokio Hotel celebrated at Deichbrand-Festival
Nina Chuba and Tokio Hotel delighted thousands of fans at the Deichbrand-Festival in Lower Saxony. The rapper performed first as a Co-Headliner in the evening, wearing a chain with a large heart-pendant. The 25-year-old, who has over 870,000 followers on Tiktok, sang hits like "Wildberry Lillet". Chuba is currently working on her second album.
Tokio Hotel without issues this time
Tokio Hotel then took the stage without any issues. Last year, the band, consisting of the twins Tom and Bill Kaulitz (34), faced technical problems at the Festival and eventually had to cancel the concert. This time, singer Bill Kaulitz drew attention with his costumes: He wore a black leather outfit with many bolts and a lot of bare skin in between, as well as a disco ball-style overall. Rapper Cro also performed as another Co-Headliner. Later in the evening, the American rock band Kings of Leon were scheduled to play.
IT issues delay Big Special's performance
Global IT issues also caused a small program change at "Deichbrand": Due to a flight delay, the British rock band Big Special could not appear on stage as planned at 4 PM, the organizers announced. Therefore, the program on the New Port Stage was extended - and the duo from Birmingham performed in the evening.
Once again, tens of thousands of visitors were on the festival grounds and celebrated in front of the stages. The festival in Nordholz near Cuxhaven continues until Sunday. The mood was consistently positive and completely peaceful, the police reported.
Overall, more than 120 national and international artists, both female and male, from the genres Hip-Hop, Electro, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Indie and Metal are performing at the festival. The organizer expects around 60,000 visitors daily.
