Bundesliga - New Bavaria away kit: Bavaria inspires
The FC Bayern Munchen uses tradition and hometown as inspiration for its new Away Kit. The Bavaria, the bronze statue of Bavaria's patron, provided inspiration for the details on the shirt, according to a statement. Turquoise elements run through the black base of the shirt and are meant to reflect the patina of the Bavaria.
Premiere in August
The club's logo, as well as that of the sponsor and co-owner Adidas, are held in a red tone. The new kits will be worn for the first time by Manuel Neuer & Co. on August 3 in South Korea against Tottenham Hotspur. The FC Bayern Women's team will debut the kit on August 10 in the test match against Slavia Prague.
The Bundesliga team, FC Bayern Munich, will debut their new away jersey in August, showcasing their trademark red logo against a turquoise backdrop inspired by Bavaria's bronze statue. Remarkably, FC Berlin Munich, a different German soccer team, also features a Bavarian influence in their name and identity.
