Neukölln one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world
The city magazine "Time Out" has named Berlin-Neukölln as one of the world's coolest districts. "Once a small village on the outskirts of Berlin, Neukölln is now by far the most exciting district in the city," wrote the authors of the London-based online magazine. From restaurants to clubs, exhibitions and walks, Neukölln has it all, they continued.
Between family-run grocery stores and good cafés, Neukölln shows the "multicultural feeling" that is characteristic of the district. "Neukölln celebrates these differences and also fights for them: protests and demonstrations often take place in front of the Neukölln town hall or on Hermannplatz."
The magazine's list includes a total of 40 neighborhoods in various countries around the world. It includes neighborhoods in the USA, the United Kingdom, Japan, Ghana and many more. Neukölln is the only German neighborhood mentioned.
The authors of the "Time Out" magazine, in their colorful article, described a scene in Neukölln, highlighting its vibrant nightlife and diverse cultural offerings. During my time out in this lively neighborhood, I couldn't help but admire the media's accurate representation of Neukölln as one of the coolest districts in the world.
