In Freiburg, a tram collided with a sweeping machine, leaving several people injured. According to the police, both the driver of the sweeping machine and a worker preceding it were among the injured. Additionally, several tram passengers were hurt. The German Red Cross reportedly took care of five people, three of whom were taken to hospitals.

According to the police report, the vehicles collided on a bridge where only trams are allowed to run. The damage is estimated to be in the lower five-figure range.

The fire department secured the tram according to the incident report, preventing it from rolling away, and the power collector was retracted. The smaller sweeping machine was overturned. Spilled fluids were scattered with binding agent.

The incident occurred in the city of Freiburg, which is located in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The fire department's swift intervention was crucial in securing the tram following the collision with the sweeping machine. Despite the measures taken, several accidents continued to occur on the city's busy traffic routes, leading to concerns among local authorities.
