The 65-year-old was on Karolinenstraße, heading towards Heiligenseestraße on a Friday evening, according to the police. He reportedly veered "without external influence" off the road, hit the curb, and collided with a guardrail. Emergency services transported the man to a hospital where he underwent surgery. It was initially unclear why the motorcycle left the road.

The accident occurred near the stairs leading to Heiligenseestraße, creating a chaotic scene in the traffic. Despite efforts to clear the area, the incident caused minor delays for motorists in the evening. The motorcycle rider, now recovering in the hospital, recalls the moment he lost control before hitting the guardrail in Berlin.
