Car accident on autobahn - Motorcycle rider severely injured on A24

A motorcycle rider was severely injured in an accident on A24 in Ludwigslust-Parchim district. According to initial police findings, the motorcycle rider attempted to overtake two trucks on Monday morning. This resulted in a collision, during which the 34-year-old fell. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The autobahn was closed between Suckow and Parchim towards Hamburg for approximately seven hours due to the accident.

  1. Despite the serious accident on the A24 in the Ludwigslust-Parchim District, the motorcycle driver was initially from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
  2. The overtaking procedure on the autobahn near Parchim seems to have been a contributing factor to the accident involving the motorcycle driver.
  3. The incident caused significant disruption to traffic on the autobahn, leading to lengthy delays for drivers heading towards Hamburg.
  4. Regrettably, the Ludwigslust-Parchim District has seen an unfortunate increase in accidents, with this being one of the most recent and severe incidents.
  5. The authorities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are encouraging motorists to be extra cautious on the autobahn, especially during overtaking, to prevent similar accidents like the one in Parchim.
