A 39-year-old motorcycle rider died in a collision with a car that ran a red light in Aßlar (Lahn-Dill-District). The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene on Monday, according to the police. The 28-year-old female driver reportedly ran the red light before the collision. The woman sustained light injuries and was taken to the hospital. The police are looking for potential witnesses and have commissioned an expert to reconstruct the fatal collision. Shortly after the accident, numerous onlookers reportedly gathered at the scene. Some gawkers allegedly filmed or photographed the scene with their cell phones. The police erected a sightscreen.

The collision occurred in the Lahn-Dill-District, specifically in Aßlar. The motorcycle rider, unfortunately, did not survive the impact with the car that ran a red light. The police are seeking witnesses to provide further details about the accident. Following the collision, an automatic incident report was generated by the traffic management system.
