In the first half of the year, around 2.2 million air travelers used Hannover-Langenhagen Airport. This is approximately 15% more than at the same time last year, as the airport announced. If no extraordinary events occur, one is expected to reach the planned 5.3 million passengers for the entire year.
This would bring Niedersachsen's largest airport back to the level of the pre-Corona period. In 2019, almost six million passengers used the airport.
Capacity utilization with cargo flights is increasing
The most popular destinations in the first half of the year were the Turkish airports Istanbul and Antalya, the holiday destinations Mallorca and Hurghada, and for domestic flights Munich and Frankfurt.
