Finances - Money thrown away? Auditor-General presents examination report
The State Audit Office presents today (10:00 am) its new annual report. In it, the auditors examine every year the fiscal policy of the state government and list unprofitable projects or economic misdecisions.
Last year, the auditors criticized a partly opaque and uncoordinated funding jungle, planning errors, and construction issues in recently completed buildings of the state, as well as missed revenue collections.
This year, the financial politicians should pay particular attention to the report of the auditors, as they are currently in negotiations for a new budget. There is not much money to distribute, Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) has already said several times that he is preparing for the toughest negotiations of his tenure.
Here is a list of the days of the week in English:

The annual report from the State Audit Office, covering Household and other state finances, will be presented on Monday at 10:00 am. This report, which critiques the fiscal policy of Baden-Württemberg's government, has highlighted issues such as funding jungles, planning errors, and construction problems in previous years. The upcoming scrutiny from the accounting court could significantly impact the budget negotiations in Stuttgart, especially given Minister-President Kretschmann's warning of tight financial circumstances.
