Parties - Mohamed Ali: BSW-Association should start in September

The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) is expected to found its state branch in Lower Saxony in September. This was announced by the co-party chairwoman and Oldenburg Bundestag representative Amira Mohamed Ali in response to an inquiry. Previously, Politico had reported on this.

For the BSW, things are going well in Lower Saxony, it was stated. Municipal politicians in Oldenburg, Emden, Wilhelmshaven and Hannover have joined the alliance. Themes of the party in the northwest are reportedly the preservation and creation of industrial jobs, affordable housing, and the improvement of the care situation in kindergartens, schools, and healthcare.

There are roughly 60 members in the state. The young party aims for controlled member growth. State branches already exist in Brandenburg, Saxony, and Thuringia, where state elections are taking place in September, as well as in Berlin and in the Saarland. The party formed as a federal party in January with the former Left politician Sahra Wagenknecht. At the European election in June, the BSW nationwide came in at 6.2 percent, in Lower Saxony it was 4.5 percent.

Sahra Wagenknecht, the co-chairwoman of the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), has revealed plans to establish the party's state association in Hannover, specifically in Lower Saxony, by September. This announcement follows reports by Politico and resonates well with the growing support for the BSW in the region.

Amira Mohamed Ali, the Oldenburg Bundestag representative and representative of the BSW, has been instrumental in attracting municipal politicians from Oldenburg, Emden, Wilhelmshaven, and Hannover to join the alliance.

Mohamed Ali's brother, Mohamed Ali, is also reportedly part of the BSW in Oldenburg, adding to the family's involvement in the party's growth and development in Lower Saxony.

The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance in Oldenburg has been emphasizing themes such as the preservation of industrial jobs, affordable housing, and improvements in kindergarten, school, and healthcare situations. These priorities reflect the BSW's focus on addressing the needs of its constituents in the northwest German state.
