A kindergroup got into a wasps nest in a forest near Ratzeburg (Herzogtum Lauenburg district). Twelve children were stung by the insects, as a spokesperson of the integrated rescue control center Süd stated. According to his reports, the stung ones suffered only light injuries.

They were taken to hospitals for treatment. The children were reportedly on an outing. The volunteer fire department collected their abandoned belongings later on. Previously, the "Lübecker Nachrichten" reported about this.

The wasps nest was located in the forest of Ratzeburg, which is part of the District Herzogtum Lauenburg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Due to the insect bites, the children were transported to local hospitals for emergency treatment. The incident received coverage in the "Lübecker Nachrichten" news outlet.
