Man shot dead on balcony in Stuttgart
A 45-year-old man is found dead on a balcony in the Zuffenhausen district of Stuttgart. The police launch a manhunt. They have now been able to arrest the suspected perpetrator.
Shortly after the suspected murder of a 45-year-old man, special police forces stormed an apartment in Stuttgart during the night and arrested the suspected perpetrator. The 42-year-old is suspected of having shot the 45-year-old man, the police announced early Thursday morning.
The victim was found dead on a balcony in the Zuffenhausen district on Wednesday evening. According to initial findings, the man had been shot. After an extensive search, which included the use of a police helicopter, the suspect was arrested without resistance by special police forces in the Rot district.
According to the police, during the search for the suspected perpetrator, it was not possible to completely rule out any danger to the public. Residents were therefore asked to stay at home and avoid the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen area. According to the investigators, they are currently not assuming that the man's death has anything to do with the feud between two rival groups in the Stuttgart area that has been raging for months.
