Lufthansa aims to serve complimentary beverages once more.

Around three years back, Lufthansa eliminated the free beverage service on their flights. Nevertheless, they're planning to provide certain beverages without cost this summer - even in the Economy class.

On some of Lufthansa's planes, Economy class passengers will experience complimentary beverages this summer. The corporation stated that this initiative would be carried out on a trial basis and would only apply to short and medium-range trips.

Lufthansa CEO Jens Ritter previously mentioned the trial run in various interviews, which might increase customer delight. Supposedly, only certain beverages like tea or coffee will be given for free, and the passengers' reactions will be noted as part of the usual customer satisfaction surveys.

Lufthansa discontinued the gratis service in the Economy class in the summer of 2021 and replaced it with paid options. Travelers didn't obtain any complimentary beverages other than a bottle of water and a chocolate piece. Hot beverages priced between 3 and 3.50 euros on the aircraft, and tomato juice costs 3.20 euros.
