Football-Bundesliga - Livan Burcu switches to Union - Loan to Magdeburg
Football Bundesligist 1. FC Union Berlin has signed the Turkish U21-National player Livan Burcu and immediately loaned him to 1. FC Magdeburg for the upcoming season. The 19-year-old midfielder joined from SV Sandhausen in the third league.
"We have managed to sign a young, very talented winger for us, who has already proven his dribbling skills and goal threat in the third league," said Union's professional football business manager Horst Heldt. He distinguishes himself through high development potential and knows that he still needs to develop further. "We will support him with appropriate measures, including the loan to the 2. Bundesliga club 1. FC Magdeburg," Heldt added.
Ottmar Schork, sports business manager at 1. FC Magdeburg, commented on the loan: "Livan brings a lot of quality with him, has high potential, and will liven up our offense." In 28 third-division matches for Sandhausen, Burcu scored four goals and provided five assists. On March 22 of this year, he made his debut for the Turkish U21-National team against Georgia.
