weather - Little damage despite wind and heavy rain in Mitteldeutschland
Only minor damages have been caused in Middle Germany during the night due to wind and heavy rain. Emergency call centers reported in the morning a few uprooted trees in Mobschatz (Dresden), Bodetal (Harz), and Harzgerode. Additionally, a cellar in Harzgerode was flooded with rainwater.
However, other call centers in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia reported a quiet night without weather-related incidents. The uprooted trees did not cause significant disruptions in traffic, and no one was injured.
The German Weather Service (DWD) had previously issued warnings for strong thunderstorms in various regions of Middle Germany.
In contrast to Middle Germany, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia experienced a calm night with no weather-related incidents reported by their emergency call centers. The weather in these three regions of Middle Germany's vicinity, specifically Saxony and Thuringia, mirrored the tranquil conditions experienced in Saxony-Anhalt.
