Competition - Lifeguards from Halle secure second place

Lifeguards from Halle and Saalekreis finished second at an international Competition on the Ostseestrand of Warnemuünde. The team from Sachsen-Anhalt came in just behind the winner Harsewinkel (North Rhine-Westphalia), according to the German Life-Saving Association (DLRG).

Approximately 190 lifeguards participated in the three-day competitions of the 26th International DLRG Cup. The sport is not only training and competition, but also prepares for emergencies, as the DLRG stated.

The leisure activity of lifeguarding proved to be highly competitive on the Baltic coast of Warnemünde, with teams from various regions participating. The second-place finishers enjoyed their time in the sun and water, representing Halle and Saalekreis at the 26th International DLRG Cup. Despite the Baltic Sea's coolness, the Saalekreis team members showed resilience and skill in their water events.
