Rescue from the Baltic Sea - Lifeguard located 17-year-old in distress with drone
German Red Cross lifeguards of the Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft (DLRG) rescued a 17-year-old girl from the Baltic Sea at Graal Müritz beach (Landkreis Rostock) on the late Saturday evening. Using a drone equipped with a thermal imaging camera, the young woman was spotted approximately 100 meters from the shore. A lifeguard then brought her ashore largely unharmed. Initially, she was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The "Ostsee-Newspaper" reported on the incident first.
